ART TECHNIQUES TO EXPLORE
You may have ideas that you want to develop, or need some inspiration and a chance to try something new. Contact me and we can design a break that suits you. Please have a look at the calendar above and choose when you are free; then call me and I will save the dates for you. You could choose a day’s painting in the New Forest, or a several days making etchings. I am happy to help with photography as well as drawing and printmaking. You can stay at Cove Cottage as we offer B&B, and there are pubs with good food within walking distance.. So create your own visit to Cove Cottage, be it for a day or a short art holiday.
TYPICAL ART DAYS AT COVE COTTAGE
DRAWING IN THE GARDEN + LUNCH
With tuition and direction from Gina Dearden, you can really improve your drawing, and enjoy different ways of working. There is a large cottage garden here, full of plants, flowers, and patterns of light and shade. The New Forest is outside the gate and if you want to you could walk a little way through the trees and be on your own
10am – 4pm. A warm, light lunch will be provided.
MONOPRINTING IN SEVERAL COLOURS
Monoprints in several colours. All the techniques are simple and can be used at home, but the results are sophisticated and beautiful. This is a good starting point for printmaking as it has immediate results and does not involve a press. All the materials will be provided.
10am – 4pm. Includes a warm, light lunch.
